Daniel T. Dacanay, Retired CPD Lt., passed away at home on Friday, December 6, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Karen, nee Robertson. Loving father of Samuel Dacanay and Kaitlin Dacanay. Loving son of the late Samuel Odishoo and the late Mary McDonald. Dear brother of Richard (Laura) Dacanay, Loretta Flores, Katherine Dacanay (John), Michael (Eileen) Dacanay and James Dacanay. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation is Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th Street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9AM until time of Celebration of Life Service at 10:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to Resurrection Cemetery where Daniel will be laid to rest. Daniel was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police F.O.P. and a Distinguished Scout Master of Troop #671 of St. Jane de Chantal Church. (St. Faustina Kowalska Parish).
