Legislative Alert

All,

See attached proposed bills down in Springfield that will likely make law enforcements’ job much harder if passed. Please review the bills and consider submitting a witness slip in opposition if you disagree with the bills. The Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police recommends opposition. The first bill makes it harder for local governments to remove  homeless encampments on public property and the other two bills establish restrictions to license plate readers usage in Illinois even though ALPRs have been an instrumental technology in assisting LE to solving crimes.
