Lieutenant Jaime Sosa, Age 50, passed away on January 2, 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lieutenant Jaime Sosa. Jaime was a devoted member of the Chicago Police Department with 27 years of service. Lieutenant Sosa was a loving husband to his wife Bridget, a devoted son of Serafin Sosa and Evangelina Sosa (Nee Barrera), and a caring brother to Gerardo Sosa and Sue (Nee McInerney), Evangelina and James Islas, Angelica and Joseph Miller, Alejandra Sosa-Alcala and Ruben Alcala, Ricardo and Leslie Sosa (Nee Fernandez) and Maria Sosa. Jaime was a devoted father to Mathew James, Gabrielle Elizabeth, Jacob Paul and Sheryl Lyn. He was a loving uncle and godfather to many nieces and nephews. His absence and unwavering commitment to service leaves a lasting impact on his family, colleagues and the community he served. May his dedication and sacrifice be forever remembered. His memory will be held close by all who were fortunate to know him.
