·         Automatice Increases in Annuity (also known as COLAs) provided for retirees with birthdates prior to January 1, 1966, that meet certain criteria

·         Minimum annuity for a widow shall be no less than 125% of the Federal Poverty level

·         Benefits for widows of Tier 2 officers have been changed to provide for benefits to those officers that pass away while in receipt of an earned annuity, are active officers with at least 1.5 years of service credit, or officers that are killed in the performance of an act or acts of duty

·        Benefits for surviving children of Tier 2 officers that meet certain criteria, are now provided
