Commander Maurice D. Ford,( a continuous member of the CPD Lt.’s Association) age 85, of Redondo Beach, California passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Maurice is survived by his wife Jane, his son Derrick, and his beloved granddaughters: Natalia and Yasmeen. His career with the Chicago Police Department spanned 36 years. He began as a young cadet, progressing to Commander of the 007 Englewood District of which he was most proud. Maurice is now reunited with his beloved mother, AnnieLaura, and sister, Alvena.
