The following information about Saint Xavier University and its low-no cost degree programs for current & retired CPD members was provided by retired CPD Lt. & SXU professor Deborah Pascua. |
Saint Xavier University offers a Master of Business Administration program and degree completion programs, including undergraduate degrees, with the Chicago Police Department Education and Training Division — a partnership that is more than 20 years old.
FIRST RESPONDER SCHOLARSHIP
Members of the Chicago Police Department will be awarded the Saint Xavier University Chicago First Responder Scholarship, which provides a 25% tuition discount for MBA courses. Even better, add that to the City of Chicago’s Tuition Reimbursement Program and these could pay up to the entire cost of tuition for eligible individuals! You can study topics such as Forensic Accounting and Financial Fraud at SXU.
DEFERRED PAYMENT AND WAIVED FEES
Saint Xavier University has partnered with the City of Chicago to offer a secure, streamlined payment solution that saves students time when making education payments. Students do not need to submit their own grade documents for tuition reimbursement, SXU will prepare and submit the necessary information for tuition reimbursement to the City of Chicago on their behalf. And registration and student fees are waived for CPD students!
BOOK LOAN PROGRAM
As students, did you know you can borrow expensive textbooks for free? As part of Saint Xavier University’s Chicago First Responder Scholarship and as a gesture of gratitude and the University’s commitment to supporting our first responders who make such a difference in our community, SXU provides loaned textbooks free of charge to qualifying individuals to use for courses they are currently enrolled in until the last day of class in the same semester.
It is time for you to pursue a (zero-cost) MBA at SXU
