Loving wife of the late Hugh O’Malley, (retired CPD Lt.); daughter of the late Patrick & Catherine McLaughlin; devoted mother of the late Kathleen Smith, Timothy (Terri), Hugh (Lori), Patrick (CPD Lt. (Janet), Sheila (Bill) Klotz, Jim CFD (Liz) and Colleen (Ernie) Espitia; loving Nana of Michael, Ryan (Roxanne) Smith, Bridget (Joshua) Powers, Anne (Eric) Leaver, Seamus, Marykate, Ian, Maggie, Sarah, Hugh O’Malley and Erin Espitia; great grandmother of Tristyn and Riley Smith, Hadley and Jordan Powers; dear sister of Marge (the late Bob) Rowe, the late John & Sally McLaughlin, Patricia (the late Leo) McAleer, Jim (the late Eileen) McLaughlin; cherished “outlaw” of the late John O’Malley, the late Sr. Rosemary CSJ, Martin (the late Rachel), Sr. Kathleen CSJ, the late Bernadette (Thomas) Lynch, the late Suzanne (late Ray) Carolan, Patricia (Jim) Cahill, Michael, the late Thomas and Jim (Colleen) O’Malley; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Helen was devoted to her faith, family and friends. She was able to share memories, stories and laughter with her children, grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and friends up until the end. Helen was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-12 noon at St. Viator Church 4170 W. Addison.
