Mary Elizabeth O’Grady, nee McGrath, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021. Mary was the beloved wife of retired Lt. Michael P. C.P.D. Retired for 53 wonderful years; loving mother of Lt Col Kevin (Colleen) O’Grady, Margaret “Peggy” (John) Chronos, Mary Ellen and Matthew (Elizabeth) O’Grady and Kathleen “Katie” (Barry) Cunningham; cherished grandmother of Garrett, Bridget, Colin, Kevin, Nolan, Patrick, George, Catherine, Michael, Maggie, Matthew Jr., Tim, Owen, Mary and Sarah; dear sister of Patricia (Paul) Reichenbacher, Thomas (Joyce) and Phil (Donna) McGrath and the late Julie Heibel; fond aunt of many. Mary was a registered nurse with Resurrection Medical Center for over 30 years. Visitation Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
