Commander Bauer’s wake will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church at 653 W. 37th St.

The St. Jude Police League will honor him at 6 p.m. Friday at the church.

Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, also at Nativity of Our Lord.

The wake will be open to the public, but the funeral Mass will be limited to law enforcement officers, family, friends and dignitaries. An overflow area will be available for others. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
